KINZO KLUB

A run-down basement in the 'Hungarian House' at the Alexanderplatz in Berlin provided the stage for a remodelling effort bringing collective joy and unlimited fun to Berliners and tourists alike: the KINZO club.

Entering the club from the broad sidewalk of Karl-Liebknecht-Street and walking down the winding staircase, the club opens up with a large and inviting bar. The bar, the DJ stand, all furniture and platforms resemble cubes - simple and straight in design made of dark plywood or light patent leather. The club has been set in scene not by stationary elements but by utilizing audio-visual projections. The stage can be separated from the dance floor by a curtain and is being used as the lounge when not in use as a stage. An intermediary zone permits access to a secondary dance floor enclosed by tiled walls, a bit harsher in atmosphere but easily enjoyed with a 'KINZO Cooler'.
